  Nice location. Beautiful spot. Cabins are really run down....not rustic, but really in need of some help. The floor in the bathroom was a wood laminate but was squishy below my feet. Always made me feel like I was about 5lbs away from crashing through...... It was a good spot for a men's vacation though.

  My family and I went to Northern Cross Resort and first impression was it was good. Then we got to the cabin and heard the construction going on. We came for the quiet and it wasn't there. We found the owners and told them it would have been a great thing to know that they were doing construction so we could choose to be there or not, but instead of graciously accepting the issue they basically told us to get over it, if we wanted to go we could but we were not getting a refund. Well we just spent $750 to rent the modern two bedroom cabin with bedding with our dog so we weren't leaving without value to our money. We were planning on renting a boat as well but with the attitude we got we went to Big Island Cove Resort and rented from them. We got an apology the next day and assurances the construction would be during 10am and 4pm. Nope, they were making noise at 8:30am, even earlier than the noise ban...so they didn't even follow their own rules. They did offer us the three bedroom modern cabin, because it was farther away from the noise but we would have to go a day early and they would refund a day back. We didn't want to move though by the second day because we were already settled in at the current location. I feel like they started construction early because they wanted us to move. Overall I would not recommend coming here unless they learn to treat their customers with care and consideration.

  We no longer have our rustic or modern cabins. We have replaced them with large RV Campsites.

  They have exactly what you need for camping so that you are not really roughing it.
